TripMaster covers a broader set built over decades: automated scheduling, computer-assisted dispatching, reservation management, automated vehicle location, electronic billing, statistical reporting, and fleet maintenance, with add-on modules for interactive voice response, in-vehicle cameras, and microtransit management that reflect its roots serving public transit agencies as much as private NEMT fleets.

TripMaster's ParaScope driver app works as an electronic manifest and two-way messenger with dispatch, while its separate TripPortal gives riders or facility staff a web-based way to manage ride requests. Tobi Cloud's white-label client portal serves a similar purpose under the operator's own branding, but without TripMaster's transit-agency-oriented add-ons.

Tobi Cloud charges a flat per-vehicle rate around $50 a month with a roughly $100 monthly minimum, tiered by how many broker integrations you need. TripMaster's starting price is reported near $100 a month, but it adds a separate setup and customization fee that scales with fleet size and feature requests, so the real total cost takes a sales conversation to pin down.

TripMaster names its broker partnerships directly, including ModivCare as a Premier/Preferred trip broker partner, plus Alivi and OneCall, backed by decades of relationship history. Tobi Cloud connects to major Medicaid brokerages through EDI as well, but doesn't publish a named partner list, and its integration count is capped by plan tier.

TripMaster runs a web-based dispatch dashboard alongside the ParaScope driver app, the TripPortal rider web app, and support for in-vehicle mobile data terminals, a heavier deployment footprint that fits transit-agency procurement. Tobi Cloud is lighter: a web dashboard with iOS and Android driver apps and a white-label client portal, built to configure without a dedicated implementation coordinator.

TripMaster markets its training and support as a key differentiator, citing a faster path to going live than some competitors, and reviewers generally back that up, describing support as fast to respond even when the software occasionally has bugs or downtime. Tobi Cloud's support runs mainly through email and a help desk, with reviewers describing the team as responsive for a company of its size, and its lighter interface means many operators need less formal training in the first place.

The honest divide here is scale and history, not raw feature count. TripMaster, made by CTS Software since 1986, carries decades of paratransit-specific broker relationships and a heavier feature set built for agencies and larger fleets, at the cost of a less predictable setup fee and a reportedly dated interface. Tobi Cloud trades that depth for a lighter footprint, flat pricing, and a setup a small team can handle without formal training. Fleet size is the deciding factor more than any single feature.
