DispatchBot vs QRyde

DispatchBot's simple, dispatcher-designed scheduling board carried over into TripMaster after the 2021 merger, but TripMaster itself covers far more ground: automated scheduling, computer-aided dispatch, automated vehicle location, electronic billing, statistical reporting, and fleet maintenance, with add-on modules for interactive voice response, in-vehicle cameras, and microtransit management.

QRyde's core is its Global Scheduling Engine, which builds next-day schedules automatically in fully automatic, semi-automatic, or manual modes, with AskSam and Dispatch360 handling same-day will-call trips and real-time adjustments. It also covers broker-facing tools, microtransit scheduling, and ADA paratransit compliance, letting an agency running mixed service types manage all of it from one account.

Neither publishes standard pricing. TripMaster's starting price is reported near $100 a month, plus a separate setup and customization fee that scales with fleet size and feature requests. QRyde requires a custom quote based on fleet size and the modules an agency uses. Since DispatchBot's own pricing history is largely gone from the web, compare TripMaster's and QRyde's quotes against each other directly rather than against what DispatchBot used to charge.

Through TripMaster, the combined product carries Premier and Preferred Partner status with ModivCare, plus reported integrations with MTM and Access2Care, and billing connects to Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurers directly. QRyde connects to Medicaid transportation broker billing APIs, Uber, Lyft, and taxi network dispatch, contactless fare payment processors, and National Transit Database federal reporting, documentation that leans toward transit-agency needs rather than named private NEMT broker relationships.

TripMaster runs a web-based dispatch dashboard with the ParaScope driver app, the TripPortal rider web app, and in-vehicle mobile data terminal support, the same setup former DispatchBot customers now use. QRyde runs from QRyde Cloud with a web dispatch dashboard, iOS and Android driver apps, and a separate rider mobile app, a comparably full footprint on both sides.

TripMaster markets fast, responsive support, and reviewers generally back that up, describing the team as quick to respond even when the software occasionally has bugs. QRyde's onboarding follows the pattern common to transit-agency software: a scoping call, data migration, and staged training, and because many QRyde customers are public agencies with procurement and grant-compliance requirements, implementations can run longer than a private-sector rollout.

With DispatchBot gone as a standalone option, the real question is TripMaster versus QRyde. TripMaster fits a broader range of paratransit agencies and NEMT fleets, backed by close to 40 years of dispatch software history and named broker partnerships. QRyde fits agencies running rural, tribal, or FTA-funded transit programs that need automated scheduling for complex, mixed-service routing, an area where its Global Scheduling Engine is built for exactly that mix.
